In 2021, we fully relocated to Canada and have been exploring our city ever since, learning from the land, the seasons, and the community around us. We’re excited to share what we’ve discovered and invite you into this beautiful corner of the world.

A recap of our founder's journey from Hong Kong, Taiwan to Canada

Workshop Era From

why should clean feel harsh?
Our journey began in 2011 when founders Ada and Elsa started making handmade soap for their family. Many commercial cleansers caused skin sensitivity, while common bar soaps felt too drying. Wanting a better option, they began learning traditional handmade soap-making methods. By 2017, they were running workshops and supplying quality raw materials, helping others learn how to make and use small-batch, natural soap with care and intention.

Exploring Alternative Curing Method

As their experience deepened, so did their commitment to quality and consistency. Ada and Elsa spent years testing natural ingredients, refining formulations, and adjusting curing times to create gentler, more pH-stable soap bars. In 2018, they travelled to Taiwan to study abroad, expanding their understanding of ingredient behavior over time and thoughtful soap formulation. Along the way, they even began growing select ingredients themselves for research — a hands-on process they genuinely enjoy.

In 2021, their journey took a major turn — relocating from Hong Kong to Canada. Leaving behind a familiar workshop environment, they embraced change with intention and patience. This transition was not just geographic, but deeply personal. It allowed them to re-evaluate their purpose, reconnect with nature, and envision how their craft could grow in a new landscape while staying true to their roots.

Now based in Ontario, Canada, Soap Vista enters a new chapter. In 2025, Ada and Elsa begin again with renewed clarity — crafting small-batch, nature-inspired soaps using responsibly sourced ingredients and low-waste packaging. Rooted in sustainability, calm, and intentional self-care, Soap Vista continues its mission to redefine clean — creating gentle formulas for all skin types while inviting others to embrace a simpler, more conscious way of caring for themselves and the planet.
